Made in PA Wine Land @ Martha featuring Allegro Winery and Waltz Vineyards
March 20, 2017 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pmFree
In conjunction with ‘PA Wine Land’, this is a happy hour event designed to turn people on to some of the lesser known but super delicious wines that Pennsylvania has to offer . With some of the most fertile grape-growing land on the East Coast, Pennsylvania is home to 200+ wineries and numerous unique wine trails scattered across the state. You are always within an hour’s drive of at least one winery from anywhere in PA.
At Martha, we pride ourselves in featuring local wineries whenever possible, so this opportunity to meet some new winemakers and try some of their wines is super awesome for us. Joining us for the event will be winemakers from both Allegro Vineyard in Brogue, PA and Waltz Vineyard in Manheim, PA. There will be free wine samples of some of their best wines, the opportunity to talk to the winemakers about their products, 1/2 priced glass pours of several of their wines, 1/2 priced wine inspired cocktails and complimentary passed snacks as well. More details to follow soon. Stay tuned!
Update: For the sampling, the Allegro Winery will be bringing their Prelude, a dry rosé, their Viognier, and their Steel Chardonnay, (fermented in stainless steel, not oak, so the pure fruit brings new clarity to a familiar varietal). Waltz Vineyards will be sampling their 2013 Reserve Chardonnay (Barrel Select, Sur Lie), their 2013 Crow Woods Cabernet (21 months in French Oak) and their Stiegel Rose (dry rose wine made from Cab and Merlot).
