Fork Restaurant Wine Flights

To celebrate Philly Wine Week Fork Restaurant is asking guests to try something new. While almost all of us have our personal preference on what styles and varietals of wine we most enjoy, those preferences and tendencies can force us to limit our options.Whatever your preferred style Fork will be offering a flight to help get you out of your comfort zone and into the wild and wonderful world of modern producers.
If you like Pinot Noir (medium body with balance between red fruit and earthiness)…
Tinhof – Sankt Laurent (medium bodied with red fruit and a savory, bell-peppery spice)
Oddero – Barbera (medium bodied with minimal tannin, and this barbera is more earthy than many other fruit-forward options)
Perrachon – Gamay (has fruit up front, some of the gaminess of pinot noir, and enough tannin to be reminiscent of a bigger pinot)
If you like Chardonnay…
Tasca d’Almerita – Catarratto (has the richer mouthfeel and the bright chalky acidity of a Chablis)
Yann Chave – Marsanne-Roussanne (again has the richer mouthfeel of northern rhone, but a more floral bouquet )
Parusso – Rovella (has great acidity and fruit combined with the creaminess of oak aging)
