Happy April Fool’s Day!
Join us in celebration of everyone’s favorite day of tomfoolery with a special wine flight. We will be featuring wine producers who reinvented the wine making ideals of their neighbors and across the world. At the time, these brave producers were considered fools, today they are considered figureheads. We will be featuring the following:
One of the Gang of Four from Beaujolais, who helped transform the region from a pesticide and chemically plagued area in the 1950s into the natural wine haven it is today.
Bloomer Creek from the Finger Lakes, whom in 1982 planted a 30 acre farm strictly organically, an ideal at the time often overlooked in American wine making.
Elio Altare from Piemonte, the originator of the ‘modern’ style of wine making in Barolo by employing advanced techniques in the cellar and small barriques for aging.
Enjoy these wines as flight or by themselves.
